North Turton Trail

19th of November, 2025

The North Turton Trail was originally designated by North Turton Parish Council to commemorate the Silver Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II in 1977, and was later extended to its current format by Roger Binks on behalf of the Parish Council. It follows public rights of way across the 3 parishes of Edgworth, Chapeltown and Belmont.

The Trail can be walked in sections or as a whole, and can be started from different points, such as Entwistle railway station, or the car park where the Tockholes road leaves the A675 north of Belmont (SD 665 191)
